Yes, there is a playlist of current rock and rap music for students at schools with Channel One. Channel One attitude appears to be – Why shouldn’t students be able to listen to their favorite songs during class time?

Obligation’s Jim Metrock said, "If a student brought a CD player and speakers into the classroom and played a few selections of his or her favorite music, that student would be sitting in the principal’s office. Why are we allowing this discredited marketing company called Channel One come into our schools and do the very same thing and get away with it? There is no educational purpose here. Playing this music only enhances Channel One’s ability to get the attention of the schoolchildren for the commercials. Parents need to insist that Channel One be expelled permanently from their child’s classroom. For a school to continue with Channel One is an indication that that school is not taking education very seriously."
