Channel One News is back to its old dirty tricks. The new movie Get Smart is a remake of the old TV series. This movie will be filled with content that is age-inappropriate for the majority of Channel One’s audience.
The "Get Smart’s Bruce and Lloyd" DVD is a spin-off from the movie. It is a unique marketing ploy the studio is trying for the first time. A few weeks after Get Smart opens in theaters, the studio will release this "Bruce and Lloyd" movie straight to DVD. This movie also is filled with offensive content and is rated PG13.
Obligation’s Jim Metrock said, "The few remaining executives at Channel One News, Kent Haehl, Kathy Goodman, and Paul Folkemer ought to hang their heads in shame. Advertising movies to schoolchildren is bad enough. Advertising PG13 movies to them is a filthy thing to do. Here’s yet another reason for schools to end their contract with Channel One."
