The Steve and Leah Show is the extremely popular, award-winning, radio talk show that’s broadcasted from Birmingham (105.5 and 960 AM WERC) and Tuscaloosa (105.9 FM 1420 AM). On July 21, 2010, I was interviewed in the studio and I was followed by Rep. John Rogers who defended the ticket giveaway. Rep. Rogers probably made more listeners upset about this ticket giveaway than me.
Rep. Rogers was amused at the idea he would actually pay for his own tickets. “Why would I pay for something I’m getting free?” he asked.
Let’s hope that the vast majority of Alabama legislators and other public office holders (and those who are running to unseat them) think differently that Rep. John Rogers.
