Channel One News Again Makes Gay Marriage Top Story For Middle Schoolers

March 3, 2010

There is nothing balanced about this story.  The author is a young AP writer based in D.C.  Her job is apparently to normalize same-sex marriages for the young people reading her words.  Everything is “festive” in Ms. Gresko’s same-sex city.  Only at the very last sentence does Ms. Gresko throw a bone to the opponents of same-sex marriages.  You can almost imagine the frown on her face as she typed: “Opponents, however, are still attempting to overturn the bill in court.”   Interesting choice of “however” and “still.”

We question whether Channel One News is correct in covering so many gay rights and gay lifestyle stories for children as young as ten.  With the extremely liberal CBS News production department running Channel One’s in-school TV show, we have to prepare ourselves for even more outrageous, one-sided gay and lesbian stories for children in the future.

We suspect  Dustin Fitzharris had a big role in getting Channel One News more “pro-LGBT.”  Channel One no longer publishes the names of its executives, but it appears that Mr Fitzharris is still at work at Channel One.
