Scott Evans

Why join a TV show that is spiraling downwards?

Scott Evans is not in Indianapolis anymore. He is now the brand new anchor at Channel One News.

His previous experience has been in public relations for the Indiana Pacers basketball team and for a local Indianapolis TV station.

With the abrupt departure of Steven Fabian and Justin Finch this fall, Channel One was desperate to stop the wholesale exiting of their on-air talent. Channel One was down to two anchors: the veteran, Channel One fixture Jessica Kumari and Shelby Holliday. (An attempt to make Sharon Song an anchor failed miserably.)  Channel One News once employed eight anchors at any one time. That of course was before the company began its collapse.

Mr. Evans now begins his work commercially exploiting a captive audience of schoolchildren. Mr. Evans job is to be a “pretty face” on an ugly kiddie marketing TV show and website. Minority students will be disproportionately hurt by Mr. Evans and his employer.  There has always been a disproportionately higher incident of Channel One News in schools in lower-income communities.

Selling junk movies, junk TV shows, junk music, junk “beauty” products, junk video games, and junk over-priced cell phones to kids is Scott Evans new job.  His salary has to be extraordinary.
