Alloy/Channel One Is Promoting Sleazy Gossip Girl

October 24, 2009

The above ad did not appear on Channel One. Channel One, however, is promoting the program.

Why would Alloy/Channel One promote Gossip Girl to teens and preteens?

Because Channel One is own and totally controlled by Alloy Media and Marketing. Alloy created Gossip Girl books and licensed the story to the CW Network. Alloy makes more money if more kids watch this sexually-charged, drug and alcohol-filled TV show. That’s why Channel One News urges kids to visit Teen.com where Gossip Girl and other sleaze is pitched to them. Channel One News has even had promotions for Gossip Girl on their "educational website."
