Ad job

July 24, 2011

This tweet was posted on July 23, 2011. Channel One is trying all means to find one desperate, out-of-work, ad executive who has doesn't mind commercially exploiting schoolchildren.

From Jim Metrock:

Well it’s been over a month since Channel One News posted a help wanted ad for the open position of Vice-President of Ad Sales.  One would ordinarily think that in this terrible economy people would be flooding Channel One with applications and resumes.

But, it’s… Channel… One… News.

Working for this youth marketing company has got to be near the bottom of jobs in the ad world.

Channel One will ultimately find a person to fill this position.  It may not be soon, but there is somebody out there that will have no problem working for Channel One. If you are reading this and are thinking about applying for the job, I suggest you ask for more money – a lot more money than they are offering. Also ask that you be furnished a new car every year. Two months of vacation each year sounds about right. (If they offer two months already, ask for three.) Trust me, you are in the driver’s seat. I mean, if they don’t hire you, would else is there?
