Wait just a minute – Channel One’s “Research Manager” is all about… advertising and marketing! (Shocking!) This person isn’t going to be focused on benefiting students; this person is focused on focus groups and target marketing of schoolchildren. This person’s job is to benefit advertisers. This Research Manager is to help Channel One News with their web ads, their mobile ads, their classroom ads, and all other ads they seek to put in the faces of children.
One thing Channel One News failed to mention to job applicants: The ideal candidate for this job should have no soul. That way there is nothing to be damned when he or she starts “researching.”
