Disney Channel advertised in classrooms on taxpayer time

Channel One News commercial May 10 2017 Disney Channel

From Jim Metrock:  Channel One News refuses to release the list of advertisers on its classroom TV show.  I continually ask Channel One’s chief ad salesman, David Drucker, to give parents and the public a break by letting them know what ads are being dropped on school kids, but mean Mr. Drucker insists on keeping all ads secret.

Yet occasionally I stumble upon one of their ads.  Above is one.  Evidently Channel One has been promoting the Disney Channel to schoolchildren all year long.  Yuck, David Drucker!

So the ugly truth is taxpayers are subsidizing Disney’s commercials in American classrooms.  This is absurd.  Disney had NET INCOME in 2016 of over $9 billion.  That’s INCOME, not sales.  Why does this monster of a corporation need to rob taxpayers by converting school time into their marketing time?  They do it because Channel One News allows it to happen.

Are we beginning to understand why thousands of school have dumped Channel One News over the past two decades?
