Earlier this year, Channel One News shocked teachers and students
with two extended reports about homosexual/ lesbian marriage.
These February shows presented middle school students with images
from seven gay weddings.
One can only imagine what a sixth-grade student thought when
he or she saw two men holding hands at their wedding.
Channel One News executives don’t see any difference between
a 17-year-old student and one that has just come from elementary
school. Both high school and middle school students see the same
stories. It would be too expensive for Channel One News to make
a newscast that is age-appropriate for middle schoolchildren.
