A Channel One Contract
In the early 90’s Alabama school systems signed contracts with Whittle Communications, the parent company of Channel One News. Whittle sold Channel One to the present owners, PRIMEDIA, Inc., in 1994. The original contract remained controlling as the contract automatically renewed every three years. PRIMEDIA rarely replaced the old contracts. That explains why “Whittle” remains on contracts a decade after they sold the business. This contract was copied from a school system in Jefferson County in 2000.
